A colour palette that sets in tone as a canvas in contrast to the blue-greens of the river setting, with notes of something almost out of Arizona as a styling ques. Balanced with a mixture of raw and polished materials to infuse a contemporary setting along the terrace.
Working with existing elements everywhere possible, careful attention was given to placing workspaces and stations for staff efficiencies. Textures and materials were diligently applied throughout, abutting up to existing forms and surfaces for a unified result.
Banquette seating was re-wrapped and rotated along the wall catching the sun. The existing cafe curved bulkhead was not only kept, but extended into adjacent tenancy to tie cafe and takeaway space to the bar and dining.
Existing tile floors were utilised and modified to blend the junction to polished concrete, with ceilings overhead removed to expose slab in mirror effect, with all services reticulated in copper for contrast.
The bar, impressive 7-meter beverage line, and take-away order are all a linear continuation of the next, yet shapeshift in form and material as they progress through for effect of separation.
