The BIG4 Caloundra Waterfront Holiday Park has undergone a remarkable transformation, unveiling state-of-the-art dining and swimming facilities as part of its multi-million-dollar makeover. Designed to enhance the guest experience, these new features integrate leisure, dining, and natural waterfront beauty into a seamless, elevated offering for holidaymakers.

We had the amazing opportunity to be part of a transformative project that redefined the holiday park experience. The new dining and swimming facilities were designed to create a seamless blend of leisure and practicality, setting a new standard for hospitality in the region.

From the outset, we collaborated closely with the stakeholders to ensure that every element of the food and beverage facilities was both functional and inviting. Starting with the initial design—long before the slab was poured—we worked to establish layouts that supported efficient service while maintaining an aesthetic that harmonized with the park’s stunning riverfront location.

As the project progressed, we provided guidance to builders and trade contractors to ensure that construction details aligned with the overarching vision. This collaborative approach helped address the specific needs of the facility, ensuring the final product met operational requirements without sacrificing design integrity.

One of the key aspects of this project was managing the procurement and installation of food service equipment. We sourced high-performance appliances tailored to handle the café’s volume and ensured their seamless installation on-site. We also oversaw custom stainless steel fabrication, crafting durable, professional-grade counters and service areas designed for high use.

Another major component was the cold room and refrigeration systems. We coordinated with contractors to install energy-efficient solutions, prioritizing reliability and long-term operational ease. These systems were carefully integrated into the facility, supporting both back-of-house efficiency and front-of-house functionality.

Seeing the project come together was immensely rewarding. The café, now fully operational, offers a vibrant space where guests can enjoy freshly prepared meals alongside the park’s resort-style heated lagoon pool. With waterslides, family-friendly zones, and an emphasis on relaxation, the new facilities have become a focal point of the guest experience.

This project wasn’t just about constructing a new facility—it was about creating a space where memories could be made, and every detail was designed with that purpose in mind.
